Live in care assistant - Medway
Bluebird Care Medway has an exciting opportunity for live in carers to join our expanding team. Please note that we do not have a licence for employing workers requiring visa sponsorship therefore we do not accept applications within this category. What are we looking for? We are looking for full time live in carers, the carer will be given their own bedroom within our client’s home, and all meals will be provided or a food allowance of £40 will be given. The package is to support an individual to remain in their own home. You will be supporting our clients with cooking, light housework, going to the toilet, bathing, safely moving around the home, and administering medication etc, if the client is unable to do this independently. You must have: The right to work in the UK is a must, a driver is preferable, but not necessary. A very good level of English (written and spoken). A caring nature and desire to make a difference to someone’s life. Previous experience working in care is essential. What can we offer you? Job Title: Recruitment and Onboarding Supervisor Location: Medway & Swale Salary: £25,400 per year Hours: Full-time – Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm Bonus: Performance-based bonus scheme Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and people-focused to take on the role of Recruitment and Onboarding Supervisor for our Medway and Swale territories. This is a full-time position where you’ll take the lead on bringing new care professionals into the business – from first contact through to their first few weeks in the role. You’ll also be part of the on-call team, helping to keep things running smoothly out of hours when needed. Alongside the day-to-day work, we’re doing some exciting things behind the scenes with technology – including rolling out a new ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and exploring how AI can support our hiring and onboarding processes. You’ll be right at the heart of that innovation, helping shape how we do things in the future. What You’ll Be Doing: Managing the recruitment process from start to finish – advertising, interviews, DBS checks, references and everything in between Making sure new team members have a positive, well-organised start with us Supporting and helping shape the rollout of our new applicant tracking system (ATS) Using (and learning more about) AI tools to make our recruitment and onboarding more efficient Working closely with the care team to make sure we’re bringing in the right people at the right time Helping out with recruitment campaigns – social media, job fairs, community outreach Keeping recruitment records up to date and in line with our safer recruitment standards Being part of the out-of-hours on-call rota – covering care calls where needed and handling urgent issues What We’re Looking For: Someone with experience in recruitment, HR, or onboarding (ideally in the care sector, but we’re open) Good communication skills – whether that’s talking to people, writing emails, or updating systems Comfortable with technology – not an IT expert, but confident using systems and open to learning new tools Organised, reliable, and able to manage your time well Someone who enjoys working as part of a team but can also crack on independently Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and business insurance (Class 1) Willing to take part in the on-call rota What You’ll Get: A full-time role with a salary of £25,400 Bonus scheme based on team performance NHS top-up cash healthcare benefit Involvement in shaping new systems and tech that will change how we recruit A supportive team who care about the work we do Room to grow and develop in the role
