About Us

Join the team at Bluebird Care Sunderland

I have worked for Bluebird Care for 10 years. They are a great company to work for. Our standards are high and we look after our customers as if they were our own family. We are constantly training to keep our skills up to date with the latest policies and procedures. One big team that help each other with support and guidance a good place to work.

Home means something different for each of us. Yet in most cases, it holds our special memories, perhaps our loved ones and the carefully chosen objects we treasure. Home represents who we are and who we wish to be.

Our care assistants provide each customer with a bespoke care experience, to enable them to continue to enjoy fulfilling lives in their own homes, for as long as possible while promoting their independence. This role offers the potential for an amazing and fulfilling experience.

This important role brings challenges as well as rewards. Our customers include people with a wide range of emotional and physical needs. You will need patience, compassion and an ability to listen well, so you can support customers to stay in touch with the things that really matter to them, even on the difficult days. Stamina to meet both the physical and emotional demands of providing care and support is also essential. You could be supporting a young person with a brain injury or a customer who is near the end of their life. The ability to think clearly in a crisis and to keep calm is necessary to provide the best care for our customers.

Our care assistants are central to the Bluebird Care mission of providing the best homecare services to meet customer needs, whilst respecting their preferences.  We provide the training and practical supervision you need to do your job well.  We can also support the development of specialist expertise in your chosen area such as dementia.  This is an ideal opportunity if you wish to take a step into social care.  Bluebird Care offers a career pathway that can be tailored to your individual aspirations and goals.

You must be able to travel between customers’ homes, using your own transport with a full driving license.

As a representative of the Bluebird Care brand, you can be proud of being part of a strong supportive team, championing the rights of our customers.
