We want to ensure our customer receives the very best care and to do that we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring and patient. We want a team who genuinely cares for each of our customers as if it was their own family. But don’t panic, we’ll ensure you have all the right training and development because we care for our Care Assistants. After all, they care for our customers so it’s important that you feel equipped for the role. You must have: Full and valid UK driving licence Access to a car Right to work in the UK Excellent level of English Because We Care About You We understand that every member of our team has their own family to care for and this is why our role offers the flexibility to work around your own home life. You can choose between full-time or part-time work; all you have to do is simply tell us your availability. Although we try to be flexible where we can, we do require you to be flexible with us too, that’s why we will require you to work **date/times required**. For me to continue staying in my own home, you would support me in the morning with general personal care, helping me to get ready for the day which will consist of helping me to have a wash, ensuring you help me remain independent , by giving me choice and providing me with dignity and respect , this is very important to me. I will then need some assistance getting dressed and preparing my breakfast and a nice cup of tea. My current Bluebird carers always make me smile and feel special and nothing it too much for them, they are kind and caring and always show me compassion . In this role, you will provide essential support to our customers, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and dignity while receiving the care they need. As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities in their own homes. This role involves a combination of personal care, companionship, and ensuring the safety of our customers. No prior experience is required, we offer thorough training, shadowing opportunities, and mentorship to ensure you are well-prepared. Our commitment is to support you at every stage of your journey. In your role as a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Personal Care: Assist customers with daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide support with mobility and transferring to ensure the safety and comfort of individuals. Companionship: Engage in conversations, activities, and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being. Medication Assistance: Administer medications according to prescriptions. Monitor and report any changes in customers' health conditions. Meal Assistance: Prepare and assist with nutritious meals, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences. Support customers in maintaining hydration. Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry Ensure a safe and tidy environment for customers. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities, observations, and any relevant information Safety and Well-being: Monitor and address safety concerns, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents or injuries.
