Carolyn Dailey, Principal Director
Carolyn’s passion is to bring excellent service and care for customers in their own home. Before stepping into a career providing care services Carolyn trained to be an optician at the City & Islington College and later moved into retailing optics. Carolyn talks about her passion for providing care in your home: ‘I am excited to be able to utilise my experience to deliver the highest quality care and exceptional customer service. Home care services are unique to you, therefore, it is vital that you choose the right care provider who will not only meet but also exceed your expectations. Keith Dailey, Principal Director
Having spent almost 20 years of his career in both the optical and dental industries in regional and national roles, Keith gained a multitude of experience in recruiting, developing and retaining the best candidates for our customers. At Bluebird Care Keith’s passion is to deliver a customer service experience unique to community health and social care by improving the selection, career journey, training and benefits of their care team. Keith says: ‘For too long the role of Care Expert has been devalued. By ensuring we deliver the best training and offer ongoing career development our team are able to provide additional services to our customers, for example, Bluebird Care Assist. This highlights to our customers and the larger healthcare community the true value of the Care Expert role.’

Heather Porter, Managing Director (Registered)
Heather joined Bluebird Care at the beginning of 2014 as a care assistant. Heather had previously trained and qualified as a Nursery Nurse from school, and had had some experience with older adults and naturally gravitated towards the information that she saw on the recruitment advert. When Heather joined the business, it was still new, and she worked across multiple areas. Over time, the business took off and grew quickly which meant that Heather was able to grow with it and over the years that I have been here I have had roles in all areas of the business. I have held the roles of Team Leader/Mentor, Training Deputy Manager, Deputy Manager. Then in 2020 I was given the opportunity to become Care Director and Registered Manager for one of our areas. The business then took on three more areas and I was given a further development opportunity and I became Managing Director for our group of Bluebird Care offices. Danni Durrant, Coordinating Director
Danni started working for Bluebird Care 2017 after taking a year out of work to be with her young daughter. Danni researched Bluebird Care and felt the ethos of the company is exactly how she felt care should be delivered. Danni first started as a Care Coordinator, moving to Lead Coordinator in 2018. Danni then completed her level 5 diploma in health & Social Care Management and following an acquisition of a new area Danni became our Coordinating Director. Danni is now Coordinating Director for all our operating areas, where she works alongside the team in all of our operating areas to promote Bluebird Care and to support our team to deliver the care and supports services all of our customers deserve.
Joanne Bowman, Operations Director
Jo started working for Bluebird Care in October 2016 due to needing a change from her previous role. Jo has worked in care since she was 16, firstly in a care home where she worked for 12 years before moving into a management role in residential care. Jo joined Bluebird Care as a coordinator and following a change in ownership, Jo was then able to advance her career and take a more active role in day-to-day business operations. Jo is now Operations Director; her main duties include working as part of a team to develop and grow our business and to ensure that the business runs smoothly. Jo still takes an active role in coordinating, managing a large area ensuring the customers and staff are happy and we are providing continuity of care. Jo ensures that our care team are spending more time caring than in their vehicles. Jo also speaks to new customers about theirs and their loved one’s care requirements to see how we can help support them to stay in their own homes. Jo is looking to start my Level 5 in Health &
Katie Manson, Business Development Director
Katie started working for Bluebird Care in February 2016 when she joined as a Care Coordinator with Bluebird Care Cambridge. Katie had previously worked as a care assistant and was looking for opportunities to progress her career. In 2019, Carolyn and Keith became the new owners of Bluebird Cambridge, Katie moved to the Ely office and became our Recruitment and Team manager. Katie then moved into an adjacent role and became our Recruitment & HR Manager. Following an acquisition of new operating areas Katie was promoted to become our business Development Director in January 2024. Within in her role Katie manages our large live-in care division, which includes managing the live-in care team and ensuring that our live-in care customers receive a high-quality standard of care. Katie believes that live-in care is a vital service we provide, promoting and empowering our customers to be able to stay at home for the rest of their lives. Virginia Zahr, Quality Director
Virginia’s career in Health & Social Care began in 2014, as a Support Worker, working across residential care settings supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and the elderly. In 2019 Virginia started her career journey with Bluebird Care as a Trainee Care Coordinator. Over the years Viriginia experienced customer appreciation, employees progressing and the business growing. She had continually learned various aspects of the business and has enjoyed supporting our customers and care team in the community. Whilst at Bluebird Care, Virginia has completed a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration and after almost five years in the business Virginia was given the opportunity to become our Quality Director where she can apply her keen eye to detail and provide excellence to improve our services. Virginia also supports with business operations and supports our Principal director with accounts and payroll.
Amreet Dhillon, Care Director
Amreet joined Bluebird Care in October 2014 as a Care Assistant. She joined the team with 3 years’ experience in adult social care. Having previously worked in retail, hospitality and the dental industries, Amreet brought years of customer service and service delivery skills to the team. Amreet found the training provided and support from management at Bluebird Care, second to none. Throughout her time at Bluebird Care, Amreet has progressed her career, completing a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care in 2018, as well as numerous training courses and Train the Trainer Qualifications. Amreet has worked in a number of roles within our management team including, Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, Coordinator, Lead Coordinator, Deputy Manager, Customer Care Manager and most recently Amreet was promoted to Care Director in April 2024. As Care Director, Amreet works closely with the Director Team, Managing Director (Registered Manager) and Principal Directors to work to improve the care and support services
Emily Orbell, Marketing Director
Emily initially worked for Bluebird Care Bedford from 2015 – 2018 as Marketing Executive. She left Bluebird Care to explore other industries and to expand her knowledge and skills. Emily returned to Bluebird Care Bedford in November 2021 to resume a slightly different role as Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator. Following a change in ownership in September 2022 Emily became Operations Manager for Bluebird Care Bedford and Marketing Manager for all of our areas. In April 2024 Emily was given the opportunity to become a Director and is now our Marketing Director for Bluebird Care NFKW, Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon & Wellingborough. As Marketing Director, Emily’s main responsibilities lie in managing all of the marketing activities for our territories. This involves managing all digital and non-digital marketing channels, managing how our brand is used and telling the world about our amazing care and support services. Summer Thurston, Lead Customer Care Manager
Summer began working for Bluebird Care in May 2022 to further her career within the care industry and could see the amazing opportunities that are on offer to enhance her knowledge and gain various qualifications to support her personal growth. Summer is our Lead Customer Care Manager and her role is heading up the customer care team. Summer is a point of contact for our customers and usually, she is the first person they will meet whether this be during the initial assessment or at the enquiry stage. Summer support our customers throughout their care journey and ensures that the care plans remain up to date and the care we are providing is personally tailored to the individuals needs.
Eloise Baker, Customer Care Manager
Eloise started at Bluebird Care as a care assistant in April 2021 and she said she has not looked back since. During her time as a care assistant, Eloise completed a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social care and will be working towards her Level 3 in the near future. Eloise showed real passion for her work and dedication to providing our customers the very best care and support. She was promoted to Customer Care Manager in February 2023. Her main duties involve being a point of contact for our customers, managing our customer’s care plans and keeping these up to date. Eloise is often the first person our customer will meet during the assessment process and she follows our customer’s care journey throughout their time receiving services from us.
Hannah Mayes, Customer Care Manager
Hannah joined Bluebird Care as a Care assistant in December 2016. Since then, she has grown in confidence and skills and showed real passion and dedication to supporting our customers in their own homes. Having started with no experience Hannah was keen to learn more and has now completed a number of qualifications including diplomas in Dementia care, End of Life and Stroke Awareness. After 3 years of hard work and learning Hannah was promoted to Care Supervisor. Then in 2023 she was encouraged me to take the next step in her career and work towards becoming a Customer Care Manager. Hannah was promoted to Customer Care Manager in early 2024. Hannah’s role as a Customer Care Manager involves a variety of different tasks and responsibilities including completing care assessments and writing care plans. Hannah conducts customer care plan reviews and supervisions with our care teams.
Cathleen Anderson, Training Customer Care Manager
After working for a previous care company for two years Cathleen decided to take a sidestep in her career and joined Bluebird Care in February 2022 due to our good reputation. After six months of being with the company Cathleen was promoted to Care Supervisor. During her time as supervisor Cathleen supported the office team with customer risk assessments, care team supervisions as well as supporting our customers in their own homes. Cathleen proved herself to be a reliable member of the team, who is passionate about the quality of care and support services we provide. In September 2024 Cathleen was given the opportunity to further her career with Bluebird Care and was promoted to Customer Care Manager. Her new role involves managing our customer’s care plan, completing reviews and supervising the care team.

Terri Evans, Training Manager
Terri joined Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Assistant supporting customers in their own homes within the local community. In September 2019 Terri was offered the opportunity to develop her career with Bluebird Care by joining the management team as Training Manager. As Training Manager her role involves developing bespoke training courses, delivering and overseeing the delivery of all aspects of training including initial Skills Assessment, Refresher Training and additional training as and when required to Care Experts, Supervisors and Management Team.
Jade Warwick, Operations Manager
Jade joined Bluebird Care in July 2023 as Training Recruitment and HR Manager when she moved from the North of England. Jade joined bluebird Care to start a new career with Bluebird Care and to join her family’s business. After finishing her initial probation period, Jade then took on the role of Operations Manager in November 2023. Her role as operations Manager involves all different aspects of the business from working with the coordinating team working on weekly rota’s and managing where the team are day to day. Jade also works very closely with Heather Porter (Managing Director) to support with team management/ HR. Jade’s goal is to be the best manager she can be and make a difference in care management with the aspiration to gain a NVQ qualification and work towards becoming a Director.
Josh Dailey, Apprentice Operations Manager
Josh joined the Bluebird Care team in January 2024. Josh was given the opportunity to join the Bluebird care office team when he got enrolled onto a Level 5 Business Operation Course. Since he joined, he has enjoyed the constant learning and increasing his knowledge on the Bluebird Care franchise. As Apprentice Business and Operations Manager, Josh’s main role is to help all the teams with specific tasks and to learn the day-to-day operation of the business. He mainly work along-side the finance and accounts team, but also helps the recruitment, Live-In and Coordinating teams. Josh’s goal is to complete his apprenticeship within the care industry and gain a thorough understanding of home care and the day-to-day routine of it.
