We are looking for an experienced care professional to join our friendly care team, and support both our care team and customers in the Amber Valley area. Roles and Responsibilities of a Field Care Supervisor Providing personal care duties Administering medication Manual handling, using equipment where required Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full Supporting our care team in their work in the community Liaising with the office team and field care team Your Experience and Suitability for the Field Care Supervisor Role In this role you will need domiciliary care experience. We want to ensure our customer receives the very best care and to do that we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring and patient. We want a team who genuinely cares for each of our customers and are supportive to their colleagues. Although you'll be experienced, we’ll ensure you have all the right training and development to excel in this role. Providing Quality Care Do you have professional care experience and would like to support people by providing live-in support for a week or two at a time, supporting them by living-in with them in their own home? Here at Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley, we have established a reliable and popular live-in care service. Our aim is to support people to remain independent in their own homes for as long as they choose. We can take care of everyday tasks around our customers’ home, all the way through to complex care needs, and including to the end of their life, on occasion, if they choose to remain at home. We appreciate that every customer is different, and this is why every day will be different. We were awarded ‘Overall Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and not least for that reason, we pride ourselves in selecting people who consider care a vocation. Your Duties and Responsibilities as a Live-in Care Assistant As a Live-In Care Assistant you will be living-in with one of our customers and, very occasionally, a couple. You are there to support them to remain independent in their own home and cherish all the memories they’ve made there, but usually also to be their companion. Promoting health and well-being, enabling our customers to live their life to the full Meal preparation Shopping Social Outings Offering our customer's companionship Providing personal care duties, Administering medication, Moving and transferring, if required, using equipment where required, You will live with our customers for between one and two weeks, before having a break of one week off and will have regular customers. If choosing to work 2 weeks, you may have 2 regular customers that you support on a regular basis. You will have a minimum of a 2 hour daily break which we are passionate about protecting. Our team usually work one to two weeks, and then have one week off. Your choice from 1-2 weeks) to make sure that you are well-rested and have a good work/life balance. Our expectation is that you work a minimum of one week at a time on a regular basis. We appreciate your experience: Previous experience in a professional caring role is a requirement - 12 months'minimum. This is to ensure that you have the experience and confidence to provide the support required. Live-in Care Assistants are matched to our customers to ensure that our customers and you get along so, the most important thing to us is that you are naturally compassionate, caring and patient and can care in a professional way. Because we care about our team, we offer: Competitive rates of £770 - £840 per week (£725 in probation for those new to live-in care). We pay our post-probation rate (as indicated above) from the outset to experienced live-in carers to acknowledge your experience. £50 supplement on Bank Holidays (£100 on Christmas Day) Regular, scheduled daily breaks and a settled working pattern of 1-2 weeks working/ one week off. 2 weeks on/2 weeks off can be accommodated. Your choice on how long you work within the 1-2 week range. Daily 2 hour breaks guaranteed If you use your own vehicle for customer use, you will be entitled to 35p per mile 28 days holiday paid Pension scheme Your generally share meals with the customer (exceptions can be made by those on a special diet due to cultural or health needs). You will also have a separate room to stay, and relax, and access to WiFi and usually a TV. You will have regular contact and support from our local office 5 days classroom-based training before you start your assignment Ongoing training and support We support you to gain qualifications in Health and Social Care to grow your knowledge and confidence if you so choose All applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK and already be resident in the UK Please note that we are not registered with the Sp0nsorship Scheme.
