CGI_Becky_Taylor

Rebecca Taylor- Recruitment Manager

My name is Becky, and I am the Recruitment Manager at Bluebird Care, overseeing & managing recruitment for our five branches in the South: New Forest, Portsmouth, Southampton, Ringwood, and Totton. I have been a part of the Bluebird Care family for eight rewarding years, during which I have held various roles, including Coordinator, Live-in Care Manager, and Branch Manager for both Portsmouth and Southampton. Each position has equipped me with unique insights and skills that I now bring to my role as Recruitment Manager, which I started in 2021.

Before embarking on my career in care, I spent 12 years working in various administrative roles at the council. This experience provided me with a solid foundation in organisation and leadership, which has been invaluable throughout my career. In 2014, I made the transition to the care sector, starting as a Care Assistant. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for supporting individuals and making a positive impact in their lives.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care, and this qualification, combined with my hands-on experience, enables me to have a comprehensive understanding of the industry. I am dedicated to ensuring that our recruitment process runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing us to attract the best talent. My goal is to ensure that new staff members feel well-supported and fully prepared to thrive in their roles from day one, meaning that our customers continue to receive the high-quality, premium homecare which Bluebird Care are committed to providing.

Before joining Bluebird Care, I spent two years working in retail at Tesco, where I gained valuable experience in customer service, particularly during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have now been part of the Bluebird Care team for over 2.5 years. I started as an Admin Assistant, supporting the recruitment and marketing teams with various administrative tasks. After six months, I was promoted to Recruitment Officer, where I work closely with our Recruitment Manager, Becky, to oversee the entire recruitment process. I have been a part of the Bluebird Care family for four years, starting out as the Quality, Compliance & Training Officer.

I have always been interested in working in the care sector and started out in a local nursing home as a care assistant at the age of 16 years. From there, I have developed my skills and gained qualifications and experience by working in a variety of areas including clinical and complex care, learning difficulties, supported living, community care, early years & young people sector within safeguarding, plus teaching, assessing, and training in both further and higher education.

I am currently working on my Masters in Leadership & Management in HSC, this qualification, combined with my hands-on experience, enables me to have a comprehensive understanding of the current industry. We are a dedicated, premium-quality domiciliary care provider and it is important to me to enable my teams to work in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. That our teams are fully invested and committed to achieving their very best. I believe this starts with their very first interaction with us, and as such is important to invest in the most effective induction programme, so staff feel valued as individuals, understand the expectations, and responsibilities, and given the opportunity to shine from the outset. Not only will this yield productive and happy staff but also the highest quality care and support for our customers and their families.
