The recruitment stage for Bluebird Care Newcastle was so easy. I filled in an online form via Facebook and was contacted the following day to arrange an interview. The interview was the same week and I was lucky enough to be offered a position. The induction training has been brilliant. The trainer has been friendly and helpful, the training has been useful and I have learnt so much from it. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful answering any questions I've had and I can't wait to start working for Bluebird Care Newcastle.

We take great pride in creating a workplace and environment that enables our staff to be able to do what they do best, which is to deliver, safe and outstanding care. Our team of 'Bluebirds' are the heartbeat of our business and we give them the time, support and training to go above and beyond.

We are one of three home care company's in Newcastle to be rated Outstanding by CQC. This is something we are very proud of and is testament to the whole team for their commitment and dedication to living our values every single day.

Our reputation is everything, and although we work with the Newcastle CCG (Clinical commissioning group) to deliver end of life care, the vast majority of our customers are private paying, who pay us directly. With that comes an enormous responsibility to ensure that we offer a premium, professional and safe service and with that is offering outstanding care and VIP services to our customers.

Do we get things wrong? Sometimes we do, we would not be human if we didn’t. However, what we expect is ownership and accountability from every member of the team, this will enable us as individuals and as a team to assess, monitor and improve.


How we got here

The catalyst for starting the company in 2011 was on the back of our directors poor personal experience of home care with his grandparents. He made a commitment to be able offer an alternative to the task based, high volume, soulless and poor customer service options that was on offer.

Fast forward nearly 10 years, and through the dedication and hard work of all our staff team, including those who have moved on, we are extremely proud of what we have achieved and the service we provide to our customers. It is up to every one of us to ensure we protect and enhance this reputation, through our actions each and every day, with each care visit, each phone call and every interaction.
