Live-in Care Assistant

What we do We're committed to keeping elderly and vulnerable people living in the comfort of their own homes (as an alternative to residential care) throughout Alton, Petersfield, Havant and the surrounding areas . As a Live-in Care Assistant, you would provide an unrivalled level of care and support by living with our customer in their home, for a defined period of time. You would therefore be entitled to regular breaks, both during your working days and also so you can take time off. While many companies only pay Live-in Care Assistants for contact time, we also pay you for your journeys to and from each customer. Responsibilities of a Live-in Care Assistant Including but not limited to: Live in our customer's home for a defined period of time Personal care duties Administering medication Manual handling, using equipment where required Promoting customer health and wellbeing Companionship and help with activities/appointments Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals Shopping and domestic tasks around the home To become a Live-in Care Assistant, you need: Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship) No experience as full training is provided Excellent level of English To be aged 18+ A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable, but not essential In addition to a secure and stable career, we offer: £763-£952p/wk (based on customer type) PAID percentage of travel expenses Enhanced bank holiday rate Significant investment in your career development (up to £5,000 within your first two years) A dedicated live-in care office team to support you Level 2 qualification in health & social care Defined career pathway Full induction training and ongoing support Dementia training as standard Refer a friend (up to £250 per person) Refer a customer (up to £100 per customer) Health cover cashback scheme (over £1,000 per year) Hastee financial wellbeing Funded Blue Light Card membership 28 days paid holiday (pro rata) Length of service benefit Company smartphone Vehicle repairs discounts Contribution to DBS check

This means you do need to drive and have your own vehicle to work for us. While many companies only pay Care Assistants for contact time, we believe you should be paid for every minute you work, so we pay for both travel time and mileage . On average, travel time equates to 10% of your working time, so put simply, working for a company that doesn't pay travel time means you'll be unpaid for 10% of every working day.
