Gary Poole - Care Delivery Manager
I joined the Care sector in April 2016 after many years as a professional driver (LGV) I decided I needed a change in vocation. This led me into joining the Care Sector and I joined a local company as a Community Support Worker working with people with Acquired Brain Injuries, Mental Health and Autism/Learning Disabilities. Six months later I was promoted to an Assistant Service Manager in Ipswich and continued in that role but at a larger Supported House in Stowmarket until I joined Bluebird Care in August 2020. Sally Chilvers - Care Supervisor
I started my career in nursing 43 years ago in 1981 when I went to Suffolk college to do my pre-nursing course. In 1982 I started my nurse training and then when I qualified, I went to work with the elderly I worked nights when my children were small and then went on to be a Unit manager with a care home for 7 years . Over the last 20 years I have managed care homes. I have joined Bluebird care July 2024 to see what it is like to care for people in their own home and promote the independence to encourage them to keep doing so. I hope that with the knowledge of nursing and manging I can support and be part of a team that can continue to provide excellent care to the customers of Bluebird Care.
Sandeep Thodeti - Field Care Supervisor
I started with Bluebird Care in October 2022. Care is what I enjoy doing, and here I had the opportunity to progress to supervisor early in 2024 which I am enjoying. This gave me the opportunity to do my NVQ level 2. I look forward to further improving my skills and knowledge to serve in this role.
Laura Hawkshaw - Senior Care Assistant
I started doing domiciliary care work nearly five years ago, in Kings Lynn and have been with Bluebird care just over two a half years. I really enjoy the variety of work and experiences I have had, in caring and supporting adults of all ages and with different needs. Recently I have completed my NVQ level two diploma in adult social care and hope to carry on to study level three, to help me to continue to grow in knowledge, and to support the carers in Bluebird care team. My family and I have moved around quite a lot due to my husband’s job, I wanted to give my children stability, so I stayed at home to look after our two children. When they went to school, I did little part time jobs, running a children’s club one day a week for about five years until we moved and then I worked in an office doing admin for the church.
