Over the course of 2017 we have seen an increased focus towards positive mental health, wellbeing and importantly a shift in the way people see loneliness.

Firstly, what is loneliness? The dictionary definition of loneliness is sadness because someone has no friends or company AND the quality of being unfrequented, remote or isolated. In order to demonstrate just how extreme the feeling of loneliness can be The Campaign To End Loneliness took away all communication devices and isolated one of its team members for a week. Watch the video below to see what happened:

Studies show that around 10% of older people experience loneliness.

So what can we do about it?

Bluebird Care is committed to ending loneliness. How are we going to do this?

Well so far…
We have over 20,000 care visits per day.
We have over 15,000 amazing care assistants who are committed to end loneliness in the older generation.
We are involved in local community events to help target loneliness

But it’s not enough…
  • Are you looking to switch careers to one that is as challenging as it is rewarding?
  • Do you think the older generation deserve the best care and commitment?
  • Do you want to be a part of the fight to end loneliness?

If this is you then give us a call, or apply today for one of our vacancies.
